Who We Are:
We are Zach and Hannah, a husband and wife team. Hannah grew up in Oklahoma, moved to DC to become important and instead married Zach. Zach never grew up – he still plays army but now he can afford better toys. We have traveled the world and lived in many exciting places (we have the photos to prove it), and we currently call Böblingen, Germany home. When we’re not taking or editing pictures, we’re playing pretend with our children and foisting new gourmet recipes on unsuspecting dinner guests.
How We Work:
We like to have fun and create a relaxed atmosphere in which to capture you being yourself, and one of the best ways to do that is to leave the studio setting and go where YOU love to go– to a park or playground or quaint old town. That said, if you just feel more comfortable at home, we’re happy to come to you, too. We also have a studio available to provide you more options. We want to capture those special moments and the things that are unique to you, and will work with you to give you the “That’s so us!” moment you are looking for.
We like to get to know our clients, because when we know more about you, your style, and the things that matter to you; we are able to transfer that knowledge into photos that fit you and capture your personality.
We are committed to giving you a quality product, and to that end, for each hour of shooting, we spend roughly 3-4 hours sorting, processing, and tweaking. We like to create photos that can be proudly displayed anywhere.

What We Use:
We shoot our photos in RAW with Sony Alpha Cameras and an array of lenses to capture crisp, beautiful images which we process using Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop.
Our Thoughts on Digital Files:
The pictures we take are of you, about you, and for you. In our minds, it is only right for you to do what you want with your pictures. So when you purchase the digital files, they are yours to enjoy however you want for non-commercial uses. So feel free to share them on facebook, email them to family or get them printed on personalized toilet paper.
Non-Profit Work:
While we have a passion for photography, part of the reason we started Parapet Photography was as a tool to bless others. There are two causes in particular that we enjoy supporting. A percentage of all our profits go to support The Wounded Warrior Project and Stop Child Trafficking Now.
In addition to supporting these important causes, we also do free photo shoots for families of children with disabilities and families of wounded soldiers. If you or someone you know would benefit from this opportunity, please contact us directly.
