I pine for the beach. I used to be a mountains kind of girl, but when I moved to Hawaii, I was ruined for life (of course, Hawaii has beach AND mountains, and it doesn’t get any better than that). Maybe it’s looking at Zach’s surfboard on our wall all day long, maybe it’s all the wave pictures that grace our walls, maybe it’s the Koa paddle (goodness knows it’s not the Spam that makes me swoon)… I probably think about the beach as often as my daughter thinks about cheese.
So when the DiVito family contacted me back in January (they interrupted a Beach Bums Anonymous meeting I was attending) about doing family photos at the beach, I scratched that date on my calendar immediately. For future reference, I will drive to the beach for a photo shoot anytime.
The DiVitos have a huge, beautiful, supremely photogenic family, made even more so by the fact that everyone seemed to be having fun and enjoying one another. I loved their company and, to be honest, it didn’t feel like work the entire time I was with them!
Some of my best memories are at the beach, some of my favorite pictures are beach memories captured, and I sincerely hope that’s what I’ve done for the DiVitos.
